What is ERT about? • Is about exchange of goodpracticeregardingpolicies and public sector performance and challengesbetweencivilservantsfrom different memberstates • Is aboutunderstandingeachothers’ administrative system and governancemechanisms • Is about building networksbetweencivilservantsacross the EU

  3. Types of ERT programmes • Studyvisits (3 days) organisedbyone of the DISPA membersforcivilservantsfromothermemberstates • Two types: • Thematic: focus onspecificthemeorgoodpractice, discussingcase-studies • General: focus onadministrative system of the host country including EU coordination system • Somestudyvisits are fee-based/somenotdependingon the status of the institute • Staff of DISPA membersmake up the ERT network

How to connect ERT to policy • Byorganisinggeneralstudyvisits, especiallywhen MS is on the roadtowards EU presidency • Byidentifying relevant policythemes/goodpracticeforspecificstudyvisits Question to DISPA members: • Whattheme/specific topic is a goodpracticeor major topic in your country and couldbe the subject of a studyvisit?

  5. Role for DISPA and ERT network • ERT delegates prepare plan fortwo-yearscheduleforseveralstudyvisitsbasedon input of DISPA membersduring DISPA meeting (bothgeneral and thematic). • Plan is submitted to next DISPA meeting fordiscussion and approval. • DISPA membersappointmember of staff as contactperson in the ERT networkifthey have notyetdonesoalready.
