  4. What’s the distance between the points (2,3) and (5,7)? • Step 1: Plot Points • Step 2: Create a right ∆ • What are the coordinates Of the 3rd point?  (5, 3) • Step 3: What are the lengths of the legs?  3 and 4. C 4 3

  6. Now the Distance Formula… • Start with Pythag. Thm: 32 + 42 = c2 Where do 3 and 4 come from? Where do these #s come from?
