  1. Let’s talk extra credit! • You can choose 1 of 4 project • A Propaganda Poster • A Timeline • A Nation Report • A radio news broadcast

Propaganda Poster Draw or paint a propaganda poster FRONT: • On an 8.5”x11” piece of computer paper, draw or paint a propaganda poster. • It must be in color and it must be at least 75% of the page. • It must have some sort of words to tell me about the poster • It must try to sway the public to do something. • You will need to do some additional research online. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. BACK: • On the back of the poster (or on a separate page) write a 6-8 sentence paragraph describing your poster. • It must tell me what the poster is trying to persuade the public to do. • It must also tell me HOW its trying to persuade the public. (Making the enemy look evil, “Be a man,” Patriotism, etc.) • Scan the poster, front and back (or take a picture of it) and kmail me the pictures. (I can help with this if you have trouble)

Timeline Create a timeline of events • In Microsoft word/powerpoint or open office impress/writer create a timeline of at least 8 major events in World War 1. • You will need to do some additional research online. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. • Each event on the timeline must have: • Title • Date • Location • A 3-4 sentence paragraph telling the reader why that event is important to the history of the Great War. • Kmail me the completed document when you finish

Nation Report Write an Essay • Select one of the countries that participated in World War I. • Write a 3 to 5 paragraph essay outlining the reasons why that country joined the war, some of its major efforts during the war, life at home during the war and how the country was changed after the war was over. • The paper should be a minimum of two pages long. • In addition to the two pages, you will need to create a cover page, with a title, your name and one picture. • You will need to do some additional research online. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. • Kmail me the completed document when you finish

Radio News Broadcast Act as a News Anchor • Create a 5 minute “news story” using recording software on this website: http://www.recordmp3.org/ • Choose one major event from The Great War. • Create a news story around that event. You should tell the listener: • Time and Date of the event • Participants at the event • What happened? • How did it happen? • Why is it important for the listeners? • You will need to do some additional research online. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. • Kmail me the completed recording when you finish
