  2. Instructions You will create a Power Point or Prezi to illustrate and explain important words and ideas about medieval Japanese society. For each term: • Find 2-3 images that illustrate what the term or phrase means or what it looks like. • Write 1-2 sentences explaining why the term or phrase mattered in medieval Japan. • DO NOT just use the definition of the word!!!! You must use your own words to explain what it is and why it is important. • Each term or phrase must have its own slide. • Save your assignment as “Name#1.Name#2.Vocabulary” Ex – IronMan.Superman.Vocabulary • Email your assignment to Ms. McDonald – mmcdonald@laalliance.org

  4. Calligraphy Japanese characters are called “kanji” and came to Japan from China during the medieval period. This is the name for the art of writing used to create Japanese characters. Calligraphers use a paintbrush and ink stone to create the characters.
