Godly Parents Provide Example

Proverbs 20:7

“The righteous man leads a blameless life;    blessed are his children after him.”

Proverbs 14:26

“He who fears

the LORD has a secure fortress,

and for his children

it will be a refuge.”

Godly Parents Provide Instruction

Proverbs 1: 8-9

8 “Listen, my son, to

your father’s instruction    and do not forsake

your mother’s teaching. 9 They will be a garland

to grace your head    and a chain to

adorn your neck.”

Proverbs 5: 12-13

12 You will say,

“How I hated discipline!    How my heart spurned correction! 13 I would not

obey my teachers    or listen to

my instructors.”

“Train a child

in the way

he should go,    and when he is old he will not

8 Norms for “Millenials”:- Freedom / Integrity- Scrutiny / Customization- Collaboration / Innovation- Speed / Entertainment

“Millenial” Core Values:- Values Are Closest to “Builders”- Active in Service… External Focus“Give Me Something to Believe In or I’ll Find It On My Own!”- “Missional”… Loving God & Neighbor- Connected, yet Independent
