Aircraft, power plant and component Mods planning • a) Modification Planning and Control team will receive approved Technical Document Review (TDR) via e-workflow system from Engineering Technical Services (Aircraft and Power Plant) for all documents mentioned in section 1.2. Through review Engineering Technical Services shall define and obtain approval for costs involved in each modification and if FOC, the relevant supporting documents will be attached to the TDR. • Mandatory information pertaining to compliance of the modification or inspection as mentioned in Appendix 10.1 and 10.3 shall also be clearly defined in the TDR.   3. b) For in-house incorporation of modifications, Modification Planning and Control team will receive from Engineering Technical Services (ETS) an approved Engineering Order (EO) via ADOC system, with approved Drawings and Technical Variance Form (TVF) if applicable. This will clearly define mandatory information pertaining to compliance of the modification or inspection. • c) The aforementioned documents thus received will instigate Modification Planning and Control team to control the following: i. Modification records, ii. Modification Embodiment status, iii. Modification Program, iv. Material Purchase for modifications, v. In-house manufacture/Fabrication action of material for modifications only. Aircraft Maintenance Module

Modification programs • Modification Planning and Control Group will introduce and control modification programs for all modifications affected by a compliance date or by any other parameters. • Modification programs will be controlled through UM by setting up appropriate Triggers. In addition, other software such as MS Projects, MS Excel, MS Access etc will used as deemed necessary to control such programs. • Parameters stated in the Modification Programs include: Program reference and title ( EO/SB/AD etc), List of affected Asset Serials (Aircraft, Power plant, components, etc), Material request reference as necessary, Commencement date, Forecasted Embodiment date as applicable, Actual, Embodiment dates, Aircraft Maintenance Module

  5. Aircraft Mods • a) On monthly basis, Modification Control shall advise Quality Assurance all Aircraft Modifications accomplished on Emirates Aircraft during the previous month. Quality Assurance will review the monthly report and forward to UAE GCAA. • b) On monthly basis or on compliance of individual Aircraft, Modification Planning and Control shall advise the Aircraft Manufacturer (Airbus and Boeing) about all the SB based modifications. The report will be done online through the Manufacturer websites. • c) In addition Modification Control will provide all concerned parties, lease companies, and vendors with Aircraft Maintenance Module

  6. details of all modifications accomplished on the EK fleet as and when requested. • d) Production Planning will advise concerned departments (Flight Operations/In-flight services, and etc) on accomplishment of modification, copy Technical Records and Mods Planning and Control.   7. Powerplant Mods • a) On a monthly basis or as and when requested by Engine Manufacturer and Power Plant related Component Manufacturer, Modification Planning and Control power plant group shall provide modification status of engine related components. • b) Modification Planning and Control power plant group will provide Airworthiness Directive status for all engines as follows: • Engine manufacturers for work scoping 2 weeks prior to removal of engine. • Engineering Technical services (Power Plant) for work scoping after removal of engine.
