  5. Science Fairs The Interest The primary objective is to recognize and reward outstanding, innovative projects in the field of Science and Engineering. At the same time to provide the young innovators a platform to interact with industry as well as get recognition at International events. The Science Fair The first Bangladesh Regional Science Fair was held in 2008. Among 254 submitted projects, 47 projects from 136 students from different schools & colleges were selected to exhibit in the fair. Besides some educational institutions organize science fairs. But most of the projects are not research oriented. Bangladesh is expecting to participate in the Intel ISEF in 2010.

  6. Science Fairs Biggest obstacles we face • Lack of government and private sponsorship, • Most science projects are not research oriented, • Students in remote areas are difficult to access. We need to expand the program to reach out to remote areas.
