The Distributive Property-When two addends are multiplied by a factor, the product is the same as if each addend was by the factor and those products were addedExample: a x (b+c) = (a x b) + (a x c) or 4 x 13 = 4 x (10 + 3) = (4 x 10) + (4 x 3)
