  2. WHAT ARE YOU WRITING ABOUT? 1) The biography section should include significant events in the author’s life. You can find this information in the reference and biography sections in the library and in online periodicals and scholarly journals. 2) The summary of the book sectionmust focus on telling the story of your novel. You will not be able to tell everything, and you will need to choose two pieces of information that help you explain your summary. This evidence can only be found in the novel, but you can use other sources to help give you ideas. 3) The connections section of the paper should include one piece of evidence from the author’s life and one from the novel. It should show that events or experiences in the author’s life influenced something in the novel. You must use evidence from the novel and you must use evidence from any one of the other sources.
