  2. Yellowstone National Park, established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872, is a national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone, widely held to be the first national park in the world, is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of the most popular features in the park.

  3. Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,468.4 square miles (8,983 km2), comprising lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-altitude lakes in North America and is centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent. The caldera is considered an active volcano. It has erupted with tremendous force several times in the last two million years. Half of the world's geothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism. Lava flows and rocks from volcanic eruptions cover most of the land area of Yellowstone.

  5. Statue of Liberty The world-well known Statue of Liberty, standing on the island of freedom in New York harbor, symbolizings that the American fighting for the noble ideals of freedom.

The statue of liberty has a full name which is " the bronze statue of liberty national monument", and its official name is " Liberty Enlightening the World ".It is desiged by Frederic auguste bartholdi and was located in New York city harbour of liberty island near the Hudson Riveron October 28, 1886.Nowadays it is known as the symbol of the United States.In 1984, it was put into the world heritage list. External Structure Statue of the statue of liberty is 46 meters high, 10.6 meters wide,even its mouth is 91 centimeters wide.The torch which the right hand holding meaning of freedom, as long as 12.8 meters, 12 person can stand on it; Its add-base is about 27 meters high, 93 meters wide, weighs 225 tons.

Moments of Beauty At the end of September 2010, in a storm night,Jay Fine ,a photographer coming from New York,settled his camera in battery park in Manhattan, waiting for nearly two hours, finally, he took more than 80 photoes,which snapped the exciting moment that a bolt of lightning hit the statue of liberty.

  10.   Grand Canyon The Grand Canyon is located in the northwest of the State of Arizona, formed by the Colorado River after millions of years of erosion, colorful and steep cliffs. In 1979 Grand Canyon was chosen in the World Heritage

Gorge cut by the Colorado River, northwestern Arizona, U.S. Noted for its rock formations and coloration, it is about 0.1–18 mi (0.2–29 km) wide and extends from northern Arizona to Grand Wash Cliffs, near the Nevada border, a distance of about 277 mi (446 km). The deepest section, 56 mi (90 km) long, is within Grand Canyon National Park, which covers the river's length from Lake Powell to Lake Mead. The surrounding plateau is 5,000–9,000 ft (1,500–2,750 m) above sea level, and the canyon is in places more than a mile (1.8 km) deep. The national park, now containing 1,904 sq mi (4,931 sq km), was created in 1919. The former Grand Canyon National Monument, established in 1932, was added, with other lands, in 1975. In 1979 the Grand Canyon was designated a World Heritage site.

  14. Niagara Falls Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.

The best views on the American side are from the Prospect Point Observation Tower (daily; 50¢), and from the area at its base where the water rushes past; Terrapin Point on Goat Island in the middle of the river has similar views of Horseshoe Falls. Even at night the Falls are impressive. The nightly illumination means you can enjoy them anywhere you have a Falls view - from your Niagara hotel, restaurant, cocktail lounge or observation deck. Every Friday-Sunday during the summer months and on special occasions, Falls Fireworks add a little extra colour to the display.
