  • It is important to always warm-up before any performance or rehearsal

  • This is to keep your safe and to take care of your actor’s tools

  • Your warm-up should consist of:

    • Vocal

    • Breath

    • Movement

    • energy

    • Tongue twisters

    • Yawns

    • Large sounds

    • Small sounds

    • Using your entire vocal range

  • Write your own tongue twister!

    • Write a tongue twister for our warm-up

    • Stretching

    • Isolating your body

    • Slow concentrated movement

  • Movement creation

    • Create a movement that uses your entire body to add to our warm-up


Breath warm up

    • Using your diaphragm

    • Breathing in through your nose and out of your mouth

    • Deep, slow, even breaths

  • Relaxed state

    • Close your eyes and think of a calming location

    • Take 3 deep even breaths


Energy warm up

  • Should engage body and voice!

    • Consist movement

    • Consistent voice

  • Shakedown!
