  5. 1.1 System Overview 500i Booklet System is the combination of the world’s bestselling bookletmaker, the DBM-500 with the intelligent DSC-10/60i Collator. Direct replacement of the System 5000PRO. Accepts both collated and un-collated jobs. Ideal near-line solution for high volume digital or offset printed jobs. Accepts the printed page from multiple sources. System Configuration : DSC-10/60i + DBM-500 + 500Trimmer + DKT-200 (Optional) or ASM-500 (Square Spine).

  8. 1.3 Features and Benefits Near-line Finishing The 500i Booklet System allows you to manage the printed page of multiple printers or presses, colour or mono, or from different printer vendors. Merge together digital and offset sheets. Accepts pre-collated or uncollated sets.

  10. 1.3 Features and Benefits Productivity Up to 5,000 finished books per hour. With the optional DKT-200 it can finish up to 9,000 books per hour. The DC10/60i has a large bin capacity of 65mm and feeds a variety of paper regardless of stocks and sizes. An automatic and accurate miss/double detection system ensures only the correct sets are delivered into the bookletmaker. Faulty sets are automatically diverted without stopping or interrupting production.

  11. 1.3 Features and Benefits IMBF The user friendly PC controller transforms the DSC-10/60i suction towers into an Intelligent Multi-Bin Feeding System (IMBF). This enables the operator to not only select individual bins, but also the feeding sequence.

The Ultrasonic sensor detects air gaps between two sheets when a double feed occurs. This makes it impervious to ink colour, paper colour and paper density. Allows the user to feed different paper weights within the same job.
