  2. Induction: eJournal Articles 1 • In this tutorial we will download articles from Ingenta. • The first step is to use the University Electronic Gateway • http://www.unn.ac.uk/central/isd/gateway.htm

  3. Passwords! • Check that you have an ATHENS password. • This was issued to you when you enrolled. • If in doubt eMail • in.elec@unn.ac.uk, • supplying proof of identity e.g. student id number. They will reply to your university email address.

  4. Ingenta Download • We are going to download the following article: • Markides C. (2001), Strategy as Balance: From “Either-Or” to “And”, Business Strategy Review, September 2001, vol. 12, no. 3, pp. 1-10(10) . We will take you to the website in a moment. Just enjoy the show for now!

  5. Type in the web address above if you don’t have a direct link. Then click on UNN electronic journal lists and searches.

  6. Type in the eJournal you’re looking for and click go.

  7. Click on the provider name. Note that you need a password.

  8. When you get here it is fairly straightforward. Put in your username and password (though you can add it at the next stage). Then select the article you want.

  9. Here I’ve selected the relevant article.

  10. Now I am going to download it in adobe acrobat’s portable document format.

  11. If you want to save a ‘pdf’ document you must click on the disk icon indicated. You will not save it if you use the ‘File’ ‘ Save As’ option in the drop down menu on the top left.

  12. Your go! Click Here to go to the eJournals
