  2. Student Goals • Analyze elements of plot and setting “Contents of the Dead Man’s Pockets.” • Identify imagery in “Contents of the Dead Man’s Pockets.” • Explain how an author’s use of cause/effect develops suspense.

  3. What values do you think are most important in people’s lives? With a partner, list values such as friendship, health, and so on, that you find important. Then, define the values you listed. What exactly do these values mean to you?
