  4. Question: Where Do You Use The Card? • Buying sodas and candy bars from vending machines on board ship. • Paying for meals at Ship’s Mess. • Paying for services at MWR. • Borrowing $10 from your buddy

  5. The Card Concept • Your card has a chip that holds value, or money • You load value on to the card at the cashless ATM, just like you were going to the ATM machine to withdraw cash for the weekend, or adding minutes onto a phone card. • Pay for your meals, sodas, etc. • When you’re running low again, transfer available funds from your account to your Card.

  6. Navy Cash™ Cashless ATM • Located near ATM locations aboard • Enter card in slot and type in your PIN • Follow directions onscreen for: • Fund transfers • PIN changes • View transaction logs

  11. Question What is the maximum value that the chip on your card will hold? ANSWER: $350

  12. Uh-Oh: The Sequel • If power goes out while you’re performing a transfer, if the ATM spits out your card or does not seem to respond: go to the Disbursing Office • Disbursal Officers can retrieve the funds from a limbo account and return it to the originating Card

  13. Point of Sale Devices • Located in Disbo office, MWR • Foreign merchants will be given POS devices for your convenience

  14. Point of Sale Devices, Con’t. • Simply enter your card in the slot • Type your PIN • Amount will be verified; press OK • Directions also displayed onscreen
