  3. Purpose of Feasibility Task Force To explore various methods/strategies for implementing full day kindergarten in the Cheshire Public Schools.

Kindergarten Enrollment in Cheshire 2013 - 2016 Anticipated Enrollment Class Size Budg#A.I.Total161820 2013 – 2014 = 228 + 25* = 253 Full Day Classrooms Needed = 16 14 13 2014 – 2015 = 254 + 25* = 279 Full Day Classrooms Needed = 18 16 14 2015 – 2016 = 247 + 25* = 272 Full Day Classrooms Needed = 17 16 14 (*Saint Bridget’s Factor)

Thank You and Next Steps • Summer: I will research the feasibility of each option. • Think about ideas for gathering support and getting the word out about the need for All Day K. • September Meeting (Tuesday, September 17 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.): Review Findings and Develop a Plan to present to the Curriculum Committee of the Board of Education in October/November.
