LATEST NEWS GBIF awards six capacity enhancement grants for 2015 Projects in Africa, Latin America and Europe will engage 19 Participants. • Surveys seek to understand biodiversity data needs and resources in Africa Surveys in English, French, and Portuguese seek input from data holders and decision makers in Africa to support and refine the EU-funded BID programme. • New GBIF fund targets biodiversity information needs in Asia The Biodiversity Information Fund for Asia will use a financial contribution from Japan's Ministry of the Environment to support regional data-related activities that address key research and policy needs. • http://www.gbif.org/newsroom/summary | 08 MAY 2015
