Some facts of the Great Depression

  • Fall of the Stock Market in New York , 1929

  • Banks were closed

  • Caused major unemployment in society

  • Lead to lack of manufacturing good

    • Trade was limited

    • Farmers were not producing crops

  • Lead to starvation

  • President Franklin D. Roosevelt makes some change

    • enforces government regulation

    • Creates work unions

    • Social security is created to help the elderly

      Finally ends in 1941 due to WWII and changes in society
