  2. Suprafata - populatie • Euopa intra in categoria continentelor foarte mici ale Pamantului - 10,4 mil. kmp; • Euopa este un continent foarte bine populat; desi are o suprafata mica, populatia este foarte numeroasa . Rezulta, deci, o densitate medie ridicata a populatiei : 68 locuitori / kmp;

  3. Numele - • Este unul dintre cele sapte continente ale lumii. Numele de Europa vine de la numele Europei , fiica regelui fenician Agenor, ce a fost rapita de Zeus si dusa in Insula Creta sau de la ereb (apus ).

  4. Resurse • Europa este un continent foarte bogat cu resurse naturale variate, agricultura productiva, industrie diversificata, retea de transporturi densa si modernizata. • Europenii au cel mai ridicat nivel de trai si cea mai mare speranta de viata dintre locuitorii celorlalte continente . Aceasta bogatie a Europei este rezultatul muncii cetatenilor sai, dar si o mostenire a perioadei coloniale.
