  1. Galveston Beach Cleanup By Gautham Baddigam And Santosh Akunuri

  2. What we are doing • We are cleaning up east beach because, even though it is considered the best beach in Galveston it also needs people to take care of it and that’s where we step in • We will pick up the trash on East Beach to help the beach and to make the beach a better place for all

  3. Non-Human Effects • The beach life (seagulls, pelicans, etc.) will not be harmed be trash on the beach if we pick it up. Beach wildlife may think trash is food. Much wildlife has been harmed in this way. This is another reason that we are trying to help the environment on the beach.

  4. Economy Loss • Not only is trash increasing in numbers, this is causing a steep drop in economy. Tourist numbers have dropped on seeing a beach unfit for vacation. Galveston beach has been making only about half of it’s money. Galveston Beach is having to pay more money to hire people to clean up the trash.

  5. Galveston East Beach • East beach is the beach we are helping. It is the most visited beach in Galveston as well as the most popular. As a result it is the beach that is most littered upon. About 50% of the trash on Galveston beaches is on East Beach. By reducing the trash here we can boost the economy, help the wildlife, and make it a better place for all.
