  1. The Blame Game Who’s at fault for the fall of Eden: Adam or Eve? Explain your response in 2-3 sentences in box 1!

  2. The Blame Game Box 2 • Who does Amelia Lanier blame for the fall? • Use at least one specific reference to the text.

  3. The Blame Game Box 3 • Your opinion has been assigned to you. • Red/Yellow=Eve • Blue/Green=Adam. • In box 3 explain all the arguments for your assigned person. • You must argue that this person is the most to blame as though their very life depends on it. Be creative, but accurate.

  4. The Debate • Eve arguers come to the left side of the room; Adam arguers go to the right side. • Turn your desks so you are facing each other • After the coin toss we’ll start the debate. One side shares, then the other. Be respectful • Participation is key so make sure you are involved at least one time (turn over your colored pencil when you participate).

  5. The Blame Game Box 4 • After the debate and discussion; who do you think is the most to blame. Explain your response and why/why not your opinion did/did not change. • You can say it’s neither Adam nor Eve, but it is God or Satan or all 4 if you would like, because, after all, maybe that is Milton and Lanier’s point… • Put your work in the box when you are finished. • Make sure the desks/room is straight.
