Pathos • Why is appealing to pathos important when you are trying to persuade an audience? • What are some ways that you can appeal to pathos when making an arugument? • Using Emotions to Build Bridges • Connecting to your reader to let them know that you understand their experiences, values, etc. • Using Emotions to Sustain an Argument • Emotional appeals can make logical claims stronger or more memorable. • Using Humor • Put readers at ease, making them more open to your argument.
