  5. What are we doing? Progression – Today you will begin to work with phrases and clauses, in order to learn when and how to use, semi-colons, colons, and commas. Take the pretest on page 295 in your notebook. Elect a team leader. The team leader will see me for the answer key when you have all finished. If we have computers today, send me your score and any questions you have about what you are about to learn using the Google protocol, keyword :confused.

  6. What are we doing? Reflection – Write a three paragraph reflective writing piece that explains what your experience has been with poetry in school and your attitude about the art form. What do you like about poetry and what do you like least about it? What would you like individual assistance with learning in the poetry unit? Keyword – Poetry

  7. What are we doing? Inquiry/Research - This week you are going to take what you learned from your webquest and either create a group animoto presentation or a prezi to present on our next A day. On our next A day, each of the five groups will present their prezis or animotos for a grade. Keyword: 1960s

  8. Peer Share • If you have had your Inquiry/Research Day – share the results of your webquest. Your next step is to create a Prezi or animoto presentation to share what you learned with Mr. Logan and the class. • If you have not had your Inquiry/Research Day Yet – log into Google drive and share your “ending” reflection with all members of your group and allow editing. Peer edit together each assignment, one student at a time until the group has collectively read each other’s responses. • If there is time for another round of peer sharing, share your “newsweek” assignments. Your next group day will be writing conferencing with Mr. Logan. • Go to Progressive Worksheets – choose ”In the News” directions, effective 10-28-2013. These are your directions for next cycle’s news story. They are due on your next peer share day and will be saved as keyword “newsweek2.”

  9. What are we doing? Conference– This cycle’s conference will be time to share your MP1 reflections, your poetry reflections, and the work you have done for your 1960s webquest. Share all of the following with your group mates and me.
