  9. pre-migration • Generate users list (touch base with your Business Manager) • Organize similar to example spreadsheet • Identify users who are not going to be present • Prioritize your units • Administrative units first • Calendar users • Geographical location

  10. pre-migration • Encourage end users to complete pre-migration steps, particularly documenting Calendar Sharing Permissions • Encourage end users to document Room accounts and Department Shared Accounts • Get OU Administration rights prior to migration, they will allow departmental IT to set rights • Remind users to remove accounts from mobile devices on Friday at 5pm

  11. pre-migration • Print out Room Calendars on Friday before 5pm • Upgrade client machines to e-mail clients from the Supported Clients List, e.g. Outlook 2010 for PC, Outlook 2011 or Mac Mail for Mac (determine if upgrading the entire suite is appropriate) • Remind users to have all devices present at appointment time • BlackBerry BES users should request BES access prior to migration to ensure it will be available to them on Monday

  12. post migration • Load your USB flash drive with the following: • BPOSRemovalTool.exe • Lync installers (32-bit Windows, 64-bit Windows, OS X) • Malware removal tools (rkill.exe, MalwareBytes, ComboFix) • Client configuration documentation

  13. post migration • Prioritize Mobile Devices • Can be handled while BPOS Removal Tool is running • Special website for iOS devices (check that old account is removed) - <URL> • Configure laptops as Outlook Anywhere instead of MAPI • Print out directions for home if needed - <URL>
