Jesus Christ is Risen Today: A Joyful Celebration of His Resurrection

Join us in this vibrant entrance procession filled with chants and songs of praise as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through hymns and prayers, we give thanks for His sacrifice on the cross and rejoice in His victory over death. As baptized believers, we renew our commitment to living faithfully in His name. All are invited to participate in the sprinkling of holy water and the renewal of baptismal promises. Together, let us offer our prayers to God and bring our needs before Him, knowing that He is merciful and loving. In the offertory chant, we symbolically offer the labor of our bodies and the grief of our spirits, seeking God's blessing and grace. Come and join us in this joyful celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  22. Prayer for the HOLY YEAR OF MERCY

  23. Lord Jesus Christ, you have taught us to be merciful like the heavenly Father, and have told us that whoever sees you sees Him. Show us your face and we will be saved.

  24. Your loving gaze freed Zacchaeus and Matthew from being enslaved by money; the adulteress and Magdalene from seeking happiness only in created things;

  25. made Peter weep after his betrayal, and assured Paradise to the repentant thief.

  26. Let us hear, as if addressed to each one of us, the words that you spoke to the Samaritan woman: “If you knew the gift of God!”

  27. You are the visible face of the invisible Father, of the God who manifests his power above all by forgiveness and mercy: let the Church be your visible face in the world, its Lord risen and glorified.

  28. You willed that your ministers would also be clothed in weakness in order that they may feel compassion for those in ignorance and error: let everyone who approaches them feel sought after, loved, and forgiven by God.

  29. Send your Spirit and consecrate every one of us with its anointing, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a year of grace from the Lord, and your Church,

  30. with renewed enthusiasm, may bring good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to captives and the oppressed, and restore sight to the blind.

  31. We ask this through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Mercy, you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.

  32. OFFERTORY CHANTIN BREAD WE BRING YOU LORD

  33. 1. In bread we bring you Lord, our bodies labor. In wine we offer you, our spirits’ grief. We do not ask you Lord, who is my neighbour? But stand united now, one in belief.

  34. Oh we have gladly heard your word, your holy word, and now in answer, Lord. Our gifts we bring. Our selfish hearts make true, our failing faith renew, our lives belong to you, our Lord and King.

  35. 2. The bread we offer you is blessed and broken And it becomes for us our spirits’ food Over the cup we bring your word is spoken; Make it your gift to us, your healing blood

  36. Take all that daily toil plants in our heart’s poor soil Take all we start and spoil, each hopeful dream The chances we have missed the graces we resist Lord, in thy Eucharist, take and redeem.

  37. Memorial Acclamation (B) Priest:The mystery of faith.

  38. COMMUNION CHANTI AM THE BREAD

  39. 1. I am the bread of life. You who come to Me shall not hunger; And who believe in Me shall not thirst. No one can come to Me, unless the Father beckons.

  40. Refrain: And I will raise you up, And I will raise you up, And I will raise you up on the last day.

  41. 2. The bread that I will give is My flesh for the life of the world, And if you eat of this bread, you shall live for ever, you shall live for ever.

  42. Refrain: And I will raise you up, And I will raise you up, And I will raise you up on the last day.

  43. 3. Unless you eat of the flesh of the Son of Man. And drink of His blood, and drink of His blood, you shall not have life within you.

  44. Refrain: And I will raise you up, And I will raise you up, And I will raise you up on the last day.
