  2. Workshop Overview • Review information needed to begin the application PROCESS • Help you get familiar with the application as well as upcoming deadlines • Review common trouble areas of the application • What to do after submitting your application

  3. Important items you will need before you begin: • Copies of ALL transcripts • CSU transferable GPA • CSU transferable units completed, in progress, and planned (spring 2014) • Intended major and alternative • Email address • Financial information (needed if applying for fee waiver or EOP)

  4. Tips before getting started: • Start early and know application deadline • Plan to pay $55 or apply for a fee waiver • Print out confirmation page and keep in safe place • Plan to have your application reviewed BEFORE you submit (see schedule) • Meet with a counselor to go over IGETC/CSU GE certification

  5. What to do after submitting the CSU application • Check your e-mail OFTEN and follow instructions from each CSU campus to where you applied and set up your student account • CSU campuses will communicate via your e-mail and/or student account so check them twice a week • If anything changes after you submit your application you need to contact each school directly

  6. After Submitting Cont. • Apply for financial aid (FAFSA) by March 2nd • Research scholarships • Research and apply for housing • Admit/ denial letters will start to arrive in February-April • Attend Next Steps Workshop offered in the Spring by UTC
