  4. Specific initiatives and the broken silence • 2 main focus areas • Improved support for the victims • ”Stop Violence against Women – Break the Silence”

Improved support for the victims • 24-hours Hotline • Legal advice for victims • Access to psychological crisis treatment • Internet-based network for children • Network for women after their stay at a shelter • improved shelter capacity, also for women with physical disabilities • Films and pamphlets with information in several foreign languages

  6. ”Stop Violence against Women – Break the Silence” • Domestic violence no longer considered a private matter • Result = Faster and earlier response • In the future: • Continue to target VAW • Updating the national database
