Who are we? 1904 – Phi Delta Epsilon at Cornell University 2004 – UCLA CA Gamma Chapter Over 35,000 Members worldwide Undergraduate members, Medical School members, Physicians, Retired Physicians At UCLA we believe in the motto, “work hard, play hard,” combining both social and professional aspects of a pre-medical student.

  7. What we do? What you can’t learn in books Help our members get involved in various extra curricular activities. (Stroke, Mobile Clinic, EMT…) Provide our members with up to date information on applying for medical schools Interview workshops, resume building, 4 year planning Medical student mentors

  8. What we do? Philanthropic events on and off campus (Blood drives, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles) Fundraising for Children's Miracle Network (Benefit Dinner) Social events with other PhiDE chapters in UCI, UCSD, CSUN, UCD, Berkeley Connections with Kaplan; Sample MCAT courses

  11. Weekly Time Requirements Every Tuesday night at 6:00PM (Weeks 2-9) Every Wednesday night at 6:00PM (Weeks 2-8) Every Thursday night at 7:00PM (Weeks 2-7)

  12. Special Time Requirements Monday, April 8th at 8:00PM (Week 2) Friday, April 26th afternoon until Sunday, April 28th(End of Week 4) Friday, May 24th at 7:00PM (Week 8) Week 9: Friday, May 31stat 8pm Saturday, June 1stat 5pm

  13. Financial Requirements Chapter Dues - $275 National Dues - $100 Covers all costs of events throughout the quarter. Payment plans available for those who need them.

  14. Application Information Must attend a minimum of 2 rush events, but encouraged to attend as many as possible. Applications due Thursday, 4/4 by 9:30pm via email or in person. Must have all 3signatures from different active members. After review of applications, invitations for interview and bonfire sent out Friday morning Interviews: Friday, October 5th from 11AM-2PM Saturday, October 6th from 8AM-6PM Sunday, October 7th from 8AM-4PM Applications must be turned in along with a passport-style photo, a print-out of your class schedule as well as your DPR or high school transcript.
