The French research programs Club R&D • Workgroup gathering French industrial R&D directors based in Shanghai National programs Cai Yuanpei ANR, CNES, INCa, OSEO • Supports scientific cooperation • Involves under joint PhD supervision program • S&T and Social Sciences Xu Guangqi • Setup for cooperation at the early begining • S&T and Social Sciences • Mobility grant Up to 5 000 € European programs France Talent Innovation • Setup for young talented Chinese researchers • Visit of the best French institution laboratories in their field during 10 days • Opportunity to establish new cooperation Aurore sciences • Sino-French internet community portal for Sciences and Education • www.aurore-sciences.org Café des Sciences • Scientific lectures for general public • Informal meetings with coffee and pastries

  3. Xu Guangqi program: what ? • New scientific cooperation between Chinese and French researchers team • Helps cooperation at the early beginning(up to 5 000 euros) • Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciencesare concerned • Mobility(airplane tickets, daily expenses, conference fee)

  4. Xu Guangqi program: who ? • Research laboratory, research institute and enterprise from People’s Republic of China(except Hong Kong and Macau) and France • The priority will be given to the projects involving young people (PhD, post-doc)

  5. Xu Guangqi program: how ? • The selection criterias are : • Scientific excellence • Innovation • Diversity • Team dynamism

  6. Xu Guangqi program: how ? • The application includes : • A project description(max 2 pages) : possible development of long time relationship between researchers, teams description and expected results • A balanced budget (the grant can not exceed 50 % of the total amount) • A final report is expected (3 months before the end of the project)

  7. Xu Guangqi program: when ? • February 28th 2011 : end of the call for proposals • Mars 31th 2011: publication of the results • April to December 2011: beginning of the projects
