Android

Recovery is deemed to be an independent, lightweight runtime environment which

is included on a separate partition from the original Android operation system on all

Android devices, for example, Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC One M9, LG G5 and more.

You can boot into recovery mode direct. After that, you can use factory reset your

Android phone wipe the cache partition, conduct software updates and many more

with the help of Recovery Mode. In a word, it can help you fix your Android. In the

below section, ways to boot into recovery mode on Android are introduced. But

before beginning, back up your Android first.

Detailed Steps for Certain Android into Recovery Mode

Samsung Galaxy Series

Step 1. Power off your Samsung Galaxy like Samsung Galaxy S7: Hold the power

button for one or two seconds till a note pops up. Then touch "Power Off".

Step 2. Press and hold the Power key + Home key + Volume Up key simultaneously.

Step 3. Keep holding the combination of the buttons as mentioned in step 2. Release

your fingers till the Samsung logo appears on the screen and the device reboots. You

should enter the recovery mode.

If you have a menu instead, press the Volume Up/Down button and navigate to

Nexus Family

If you are going to boot your Nexus device into Recovery Mode, you should follow

the steps below:

Step 1. Power off your Nexus phone.

Step 2. Press and hold the Power + Volume Up+ Volume Down keys at the same

time.

Step 3. Keep holding the buttons until a popup with Recovery mode option appears

on the screen.

Step 4. Press the Volume Up/Down button to navigate to Recovery mode option.

LG G Series

For LG G phones like LG G4/G5, steps below can enable the device into recovery

mode:

Step 1. Power off your LG G phone.

Step 2. Press and hold the Power + Volume Down buttons. When a menu appears,

release your fingers. Then navigate to "Recovery mode" and enter by pressing the

Power button.

HTC One Series

Step 1. First of all, disable Fastboot of your HTC One 9/ One 8 by entering

"Settings" > "Battery" and disabling Fastboot.

Step 2. Turn off your HTC One phone.

Step 3. Press and hold the Power + Volume Down buttons. When you see a pop-up

menu with the "Recovery mode" option, you can release you finger. Then navigate

to that option and press the Power button to enter.

Motorola Droid Series

Step 1. Power off the Motorola Droid series.

Step 2. Press and hold the Power + Home keys at the same time.

Step 3. The phone will turn on and the popup to enter recovery mode will appears.

Step 4. Navigate to "Recovery mode" and enter by pressing the Power button.
