How to Reset Forgotten Restrictions Passcode on

iPhone & iPad

The Restrictions settings, also known as parental controls, are regularly used to block or

restrict specific apps and features on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, including YouTube

and contents from your Music, Podcasts, and iBooks, etc. This is a nice feature for you to

restrict your children play games or open other apps on your iPhone/iPad.

By default, Restrictions is disabled. But if you want to block apps or contents on your iPhone,

you can add that restriction by setting a passcode in Settings > General > Restrictions. The

Restrictions passcode is a 4-digit number that you need to input each time you want to

access or use the restricted apps or contents. Unfortunately, sometimes people forgot the

Restrictions passcode they have set so that they are unable to access certain apps. If you

are also the one, here we show you how to reset forgotten restrictions passcode on your

iPhone 6s/6/5s/4s and iPad.

cable.

Step 2. If a message on your iPhone asks you to "Trust This Computer",tap "Trust".

Step 3. Click your iPhone icon when it appears in iTunes.

Step 4. In the Summary panel, click "Restore iPhone".

Step 5. After your device restores to factory settings, it restarts. The Restrictions is

removed. Now you can set it up as new and reset Restrictions passcode on your iPhone.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you see a welcome screen on your iPhone, select "Set Up as

New iPhone" when promoted. If you choose to "Restore from iTunes Backup" or "Restore
