  2. Who was Tutankhamun? • Tutankhamun was an Egyptian Pharaoh who lived over 3300 years ago. • Tutankhamun is also known as King Tut. This is a picture of what people think King Tut would have looked like.

What great things did King Tut do? • King Tut did many great things because he had to rule the whole of Egypt when he was nine years old. • One thing that he did do was order all his servants and slaves to rebuild all the temples and also to restore them because his father Akhenaten only wanted to worship the god Amun.

  4. When did King Tut become King? • King Tut became King when he was only nine years old. • King Tut ruled Egypt from 1334 to 1323 BCE.

  5. Where did King Tut become King? • King Tut became King in Egypt. • He became King in 1337 BC.

  6. Why did King Tut become King so young? • King Tut had to become a Pharaoh at nine years old because his father died early and he had no choice but to become King.

  7. How did King Tut die? • People aren’t sure why King Tut died. • Some people think he died because someone murdered him. • Others think it was because he hit his head. • Some even think it was because he broke his leg.

  8. Interesting Facts • King Tut’s real name was Tutankhaton. • King Tut died when he was only 18 years old. • King Tut died unexpectedly so his slaves did not have enough time to make him a proper tomb. • They buried King Tut with his two still born daughters.
