Chapter 1- Setting- 1969 Gordon High School Characters- Laurie- Student at Gordon High School who works on the school newspaper Amy- Laurie's friend Ben Ross- Teacher who starts 'The Wave' Brad- A kid in Mr. Ross's history class. He makes fun of another student names Robert. Plot- Laurie and Amy went to Mr. Ross's History class. Mr. Ross has to tell his students to do their homework and is not good with technology.

Chapter 2- Setting- At Gordon High School in 1969 Characters- Laurie- Student at Gordon High School who works on the school newspaper Ben Ross- Teacher who starts 'The Wave' Plot- Mr. Ross' class is studying World War II and Nazi Concentration camps. Mr. Ross talks about Hitler. The class was sad when they learned that millions of people died during this time.

Chapter 3- Setting- At Gordon High School in 1969 Characters- Laurie- Student at Gordon High School who works on the school newspaper Amy- Laurie's friend Ben Ross- Teacher who starts 'The Wave' Robert Billings- The class loser. David- on the football team; Laurie's boyfriend Plot- The students were eating lunch in the lunch room at school. Laurie was still upset by the topic in History class, The Nazi's and all the people dying. Amy and Laurie talk about David who wants to be a computer engineer. Amy wishes she could be more like Laurie and her boyfriend David. sad How to Robert's classmates treat him?

Chapter 4- Setting- At Gordon High School in 1969 Characters- Laurie- Student at Gordon High School who works on the school newspaper Amy- Laurie's friend Ben Ross- Teacher who starts 'The Wave' Robert Billings- The class loser. David- on the football team; Laurie's boyfriend Plot- Mr. Ross was sad. He did not know how to answer the students question about why the Germans allowed the Holocaust to happen. Mr. Ross felt the students had to experience something that had the power of the Holocaust for them to understand it. He was going to start a class experiment. What is Ben Ross planning? to make the students write an essay on the Holocaust to make his students experience something powerful
