  2. Review of Holden's Personality Very negative view on life and people (Negative Nancy). Judgmental of people. Can acutely identify a person’s personality. Longs for closeness and a connection with people.

  3. Rules to the game You must choose what action is more likely to be carried by Holden. If you get it wrong you lose. This is designed to help you get to know Holden more.

  4. Question 1: Holden trips and falls on the sidewalk, what does he do? Gets up, and moves on. He knows that his misstep doesn’t lead to him being a complete failure. Grumbles and wallows in his own self-pity because he looks like such an idiot.

  6. Question 2: Holden meets a guy who is in a fraternity and looks like his roomate Stradlater, what does he do? Immediately judges the guy, I mean come on, he is such a tool. Doesn’t judge the guy, sure he looks like Stradlater, but he’s probably not a phony like him. Give him a chance!

  10. Holden meets a girl who he thinks is really cool, but she's not feeling it, what does Holden do? Falls apart and wonders if his life is really worth living. Brushes his shoulders of and goes on, there are more fish in the sea.
