  1. Killer Addiction Pitch by Chris Lamb

  2. Synopsis of idea • The aim of this short documentary will be to inform the interviewees and the viewer on the not-so-known repercussions of smoking an electronic cigarette as oppose to smoking a regular cigarette, I will also explore peoples journeys on how the started smoking, how long they smoked for and how they managed to quit, if they did, and why they decided to quit when they did. I will also be exploring peoples on personal views on smoking and why they have not quit yet, if they haven’t. From 1865 to 1950s people believed smoking was good for them (85 years).

  3. References • My reference is a Stacey Dooley documentary about the amount of water that is wasted during the process of making a top made of cotton. Through the documentary we learn that a simple jacket costs 10330 litres of water. • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOe_M3GutdY • My short documentary will have the same concept in that it will inform people about the dangers of “vaping” and the pros and cons of it as oppose to smoking regular tobacco, these facts are fairly unknown to most people, so I will be hoping to educate the interviewees and the viewer.

  4. Contextual research • The three main interviewees of this documentary will be a my mum, who quit smoking 20+ years ago. My dad, who has smoked for 50+ years. And my friend, who used to smoke cigarettes but changed to smoking electronic cigarettes. I know that my dad and my friend chain smoke their choice of nicotine and I will be investigating why. My friend enjoys working out so I may be able to get shots of him in a gym, my mum may be doing something round the house and so will my dad.

  6. Possible contributors • The three contributors to this documentary are my parents and friend. One is a smoker, one has quit and one smokes a electronic cigarette.

  7. Technical research • Cannon 70D • Sound kit • Tripod

  8. Style • The style of this documentary will be participatory as it will consist of interviews of people who have smoked in the past and still smoke today. I will be offering my opinion on matters as well as allowing others to give their opinions too. I will also be providing facts.
