  2. Table of Contents 1. Overview of this section 2. Function 3. How to program

  3. Chapter 1 Overview

  4. 1. Overview Solution Automatic CLIP handling for productivity (smooth connectivity) * Features New for V3 Features and Benefits >> CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network When a PBX receives a call via QSIG, the PBX modifies received CLIP for call back. This feature is suite whensystem located other country connected by QSIG • 8 CLIPs for each Extension Each extension can have 8 CLIPs then automatically select suitable one for each carrier in making a call.

CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network CLIP Modification (for a call via QSIG) When a PBX receives a call via QSIG, this PBX modifies received CLIP to enable to call back. This feature is suite when this QSIG connection is international. Country A (+810) Country B (+820) Subscriber in Country B CLIP 820 9991234567 PSTN /ITSP PSTN / ITSP CLIP 999 1234567 New! 7. 2-2 8 CLIP-ID for each extension Different CLIP for local call at each NS location User can use different CLIP-ID for different carrier for different carrier Carrier H (CLIPH) Carrier A (CLIPA) . . . <Case2> 092-477-0002 <Case1> 050-111-0002 PBX Each Extension can have 8 CLIPs. CLIP1:092-477-0002 …. CLIP8:050-111-0002 Ext1002 • Condition • Each Extension/PS can have Max. 8 different CLIPs. • 2) While ARS is not available, always CLIP-1 will be sent. • 3) CLIP Table Number is assigned for each carrier in ARS

  9. CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network

  10. 3-1.CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network Others, SIP GW(TDE) (Unknown) ISDN/IPGW (Except Unknown) SIP GW (International) CLIP Modification when PBX received a call (General) CLIP Modification flow SIP-GW/TDA50 (Unknown) 1st digit = ‘+’ ? remove ‘+’ then set as “International” otherwise set as “Unknown” Delete + E1, T1, SIP Analog CO BRI(CO),PRI(CO) , QSIG Edit by the logic programmed in 3.1.3 Caller ID Modification (Length of digits) Edit by total digits Edit by Carrier Provided Information Edit by the logic programmed in 3.1.3 Caller ID Modification (CLIP) Modify by number of digits *1:setting in TDA5450/not by System *2:modificationfor International call only Edit by the logic programmed in 3.1.3 Caller ID Modification (Leading digits) Edit by Leading digits Modified CLIP to call back

  11. 3-1.CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network Programming 1/4 Step1: specify modification table # for each TRG Step2: define modification logic by total digits of CLIP ID Step3: define modification logic by carrier provided information Step4: define modification logic by leading digits Programming at PBX#1 and final destination PBX are done by same way. Step1: specify modification table # for each TRG 3.1.1. TRG Settings – Caller ID Modification Table Set corresponding Table# for each TRG

  12. 3-1.CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network Programming 2/4 Step1: specify modification table # for each TRG Step2: define modification logic by total digits of CLIP ID Step3: define modification logic by carrier provided information Step4: define modification logic by leading digits Step2: define modification logic by total digits of CLIP ID 3.1.3. Caller ID Modification – Length of Digits Select Table# CLIP If the provided dial digits match this table, modify the digits otherwise does not modify Note: 12 digits as International 8 digits as National call as default add Additional digit + CLIP Modified CLIP

  13. 3-1.CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network Programming 3/4 Step1: specify modification table # for each TRG Step2: define modification logic by total digits of CLIP ID Step3: define modification logic by carrier provided information Step4: define modification logic by leading digits Step3: define modification logic by carrier provided information 3.1.3. Caller ID Modification – CLIP Select Table# Modified CLIP at step2 CLIP remove CLIP add + CLIP Additional digit If Carrier provides these info, modify this table Modified CLIP

  14. 3-1.CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network Programming 4/4 Step1: specify modification table # for each TRG Step2: define modification logic by total digits of CLIP ID Step3: define modification logic by carrier provided information Step4: define modification logic by leading digits Searching Leading digit to find corresponding logic to edit. (No match, no modify.) Step4: define modification logic by leading digits 3.1.3. Caller ID Modification – Leading Digits Select Table# Modified CLIP at step3 CLIP 001 remove Leading digits List At here CLIP add It is necessary to add “011” here to avoid international number become “1011XXXXXXXXX”. 1 + CLIP Final CLIP ID Additional digit

  15. 3-1.CLIP Modification for call over QSIG network Example Sample1: Received CLIP with Long Distance digits, but PSTN does not need to dial. Leading digit Match “001820” Remove 1st 6 digits add no dial CLIP from QSIG: 001 820 999 1234567 Modified CLIP: 001 820 999 12345678 Sample2: Different prefix for international digits is required. Leading digit Match “001” Remove 1st 3 digits add “010” CLIP from QSIG: 001 8765 4321 Modified CLIP: 010 8765 4321 001820 6 010 Note: Step2 and step3 set up, are not used in this example. Only step4 is used. 001 3 CIP Modification Table

  16. More than 2 CLIP for EXT

  17. 3-2. More than 2 CLIP for EXT Programming 1/2 – set max 8 CLIPs for each extension 4.1.7 CLIP ID Table (4.2.5 for PS) Set CLIP for each extension (CLIP1 – CLIP8) Note: When modify CLIP1, then CLIP data on Extension will be changed automatically 4.1.1 Extension Settings – [CLIP]

  18. 3-2. More than 2 CLIP for EXT Programming 2/2 – set relation between Carrier and CLIP Table 8.5 Carrier – [Carrier] Set CLIP Table No. (1-8) ARS feature must be set When 20th digit of Carrier Name is ‘X’, Itemized Code is sent out as CLIP. (Higher priority than Clip table). 4.1.1 Extension Settings – [Option1]
