Extension Reforms 2008-2009  Funds approved by G.O.I. -Rs. 499.72 lacs  Funds Released -Rs. 336.88 lacs  Funds Utilized -Rs. 275.88 lacs  SREP’s prepared and submitted to G.O.I.  8 NGO’s, 265 FIG formed and are being used for extension  67 Farm Schools organized on Cereals, Pulses, Vegetables and Fruits Crops

  14.  200 Training, 2500 Demonstrations and 72 Exposure Visits Organized 92 Trainings, Demonstrations, Exposures, Seminars organized through P.P.P. Mode  90 Awards given to best farmers at Block/ District level  Biannual work plan of extension (2009-2010 & 2010-2011) for Rs.1417.94 lacs submitted to GOI on 19th Feb., 2009 for approval

  15. Seeds(Availability and Treatment) Seed requirement of Kharif seeds = 22,365 qtls.  Seeds arranged = 26,000 qtls. Seed Treatment: (52%) (62%)

  16. Fertilizer Availability Rabi 2008-2009 :(in M.T.) *Acute shortage of IFFCO complexes at sowing time (13,000 MT supplied against requirement of 19,000 MT) [October- December]

  20. Issues  Fertilizer manufactures are not supplying fertilizer in the State (IPL, RCF) Freight reimbursement for SSP withheld upto 31st March, 2009 Under RKVY, separate criteria for eligibility and allocation of funds
