  1. Keep Yourself Fit and Active with Suitable Fitness Equipments A healthy lifestyle starts with the step of following exercise routine and being fit. Walking into the idea of getting fit is not an easy task. For that one needs to follow a proper fitness regime. A healthy adult should perform moderate cardio exercise at least for 30 minutes a day or strenuous exercise for 20 minutes a day. In such case, fitness equipments can help out the person. As, the cardio exercises will be a good option to start with, the easiest place to start is the cardio machines. Some of the advantages of the fitness equipments are discussed below: Treadmill: This device potentially can burn high calories, as each step requires the user to use their entire bodyweight upwards. It also motivates the user as the belt does not slow down unless turned down. Therefore, the machine keeps the user running/walking. Barbell: It is a long bar on which weight plates are placed. The length of the bar is generally between 4 to 7 feet long. Its exercises are performed by holding it with both hands. There is also a smaller version of this equipment that is used for shoulder press, bent rows, etc. Dumbbell: It is a usually of 10-15 inches long and the exercises are performed in each hand. These equipments are adjustable as it has small collars that the clip on the ends of it holds the weight plates. The workout with it is simple and is perfect for beginners. Benches: The most common piece of fitness equipment is the bench. There are three types of benches, they are- flat, incline and decline. Some benches are adjustable and contain racks on end for holding a barbell. These benches are usually used for dumbbell exercises. Elliptical machine: These machines help to burn calorie with less effort as compared to treadmills. Such device targets the whole body and has less impact on the joints. Bikes: Such devices have a very low impact, as it can increase heart beats without much stress on the knees, ankles or feet. It allows the user to have an open chest cavity and enabling proper breathing and tones the leg muscles.
