Blog3: Cardiaclife.net AED TRAINER – ITS IMPORTANCE The AED Trainer is an instrumental device that is used for the purpose of teaching individuals about basic AED-rescue-skills and right defibrillation measures. It is an imitated AED used for training purposes for first responders in case of a cardiac emergency in places that involve public gatherings. The AED Trainer helps to: Simulate every rescue phase Alter rescue situations Generate replicated cardiac rhythms, shock-able as well as non-shock-able Instructors use the AED Trainers mostly through remote control. Training allows the responders to rehearsequick and precise defibrillation in a secure training environment.AED training is the key step as practice helps to build your confidence for administering it. It is very important that AEDs should be maintained properly to ensure a 100% reliability, effectiveness and precision of these devices. If there is some kind of fault like an error in the AED’s working or a battery failure, it can lead to some serious consequences and can even endanger one’s life. It is recommended to carefully, go through the training manual along with the AED package and then follow the given maintenance guidelines. The AED does not require user-serviceable parts. The necessary maintenance that is required is to: Clean the outer surfaces with a moist cloth Change the batteries if needed. Two alkaline D-cell batteries are required in the AED Trainers. Two alkaline AAA batteries are required for the remote control. While switching the batteries, make sure that the polarity is right. All these maintenance and usage information is part and parcel of AED training.
