  5. Chemistry The study of Chemicals, Materials and Chemical Reactions. Chemists Study Chemistry

  6. Demonstration • Chemical Reactions are amazing things. This is a wonderful reaction that produces toothpaste fit for an elephant.

  7. Physics The study of Forces and Energy Studied by Physicists

  8. Geology • The study of Rocks, The earthand Volcanoes. • This area of science is studied by geologists

  9. Ecology The study of the interaction between living things and the environment around them. This is studied by ecologists.

  10. Astronomy • The study of the planets, the stars and the universe. • The scientists involved in this field are called Astronomers.

  12. Homework Ecology Astronomy Explore the night sky. Try and count the number of stars you can see in the night sky within 10 minutes. • Explore the world in your front yard. • I would like you to document three “interactions” you can see or think are taking place.
