  12. 4 X 4 ATC REQUIRED PREREQUISITE Fundamentals of Criminal Law/Courts & Criminal Procedures PRE-LAW Internship PE Waiver/PE Waiver Required Electives can be placed in any blank space. Anyone wanting to take the Pre-Law Internship MUST take FCL/CCP.

  13. 4 X 4 ATC REQUIRED PREREQUISITE HSTE III PRE-VET Internship Recommended Prerequisites Animal Science/ Advanced Animal Science Equine Science/ Plant and Animal Production HSTE 1 PE Waiver/PE Waiver Anyone wanting to take the Pre-Vet Internship at the ATC MUST take HSTE I, Animal Science & Advanced Animal Science.

FAILED CLASSES must be retaken. Introduction to Electronics is the recommended prerequisite to Automotive Technology.

Health Credit WAIVER TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION Any ONE of the following Health Science Technology courses will fulfill the ½ HEALTH credit required for graduation. • Every student is required to complete 1 credit of technology application for graduation. The following list identifies courses that meet this requirement. • Business Computer Information Systems (BCIS) I & II • Business Image Management Multimedia (BIMM) • Technology Systems • First 3 PLTW Engineering Classes: • Computer Applications (DHS) • Computer Science I & II • AP Computer Science I & II Health Science Technology I Health Science Technology II Health Science Technology III—Options: Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) Pharmacology/Mental Health Pre-Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Pre-Veterinary Internship Job Shadow Internship Intro. To Engineering Design Principles of Engineering Civil Engineering & Architecture 2-4 Credit CTE courses=PE WAIVER • Every student must complete 1 ½ credits of physical education in order to graduate. Any of the following 2-4 credit Career and Technology courses may be used to fulfill the 1 ½ credit requirement of P.E. The student will receive the full elective credit for the course AND receive a ‘waiver’ of ½ credit of P.E. for each semester completed. • All Career Preparation (Coop) Programs: • Agricultural Science CP I & II • Business (BCIS) CP I • Family & Consumer Sciences CP I & II • Marketing Education CP I & II • Trade and Industrial Education CP I & II • Students enrolled in Career Preparation (Coop) courses: • Must have & maintain a job the entire school year • Must be age 16 or older and/or a Jr. or Sr. • Provide their own transportation • Are allowed 2 dismisses to go to work • Learn skills which prepare them for the workplace The following ATC classes: Advertising Design I & II Animation I & II Architectural Drafting I & II Automotive Technician I & II Banking Internship Building Trades I & II Computer Maintenance Tech I & II Computer Numeric Control Tech. I & II Cosmetology I & II, Manicurist Spec. Culinary Arts I & II Electronics I & II Health Science Technology II & III Hospitality Services I & II Media Technology I & II Pre-Law Internship Ready, Set, Teach I & II Welding I & II Athletics, Dance, and ROTC will also fulfill PE Waiver requirements. Marching band, drill team, and cheerleading will receive a PE Waiver for the Fall ONLY.

  21. FINE ART Options for Acceleration/Remediation Any ONE of the following courses taken for a full year will fulfill the FINE ART requirement for graduation. Denton ISD Summer School Approximately $200/6 weeks at your own pace.
