Morgan's Broker Technology Services business is an industry leader in providing clearing, custody, operations, technology and order execution capabilities to broker dealers worldwide. Their web-based workstation, utilizes the latest technology to provide access to a powerful set of integrated tools. This allows clients to achieve greater efficiency and scale in their businesses through smoother integration and sharing of information across a broad range of features and products. In addition, BTS leverages the breadth of J.P. Morgan's resources, tools and products so our clients can focus their attention on growing assets, attracting clients and building their businesses. . Business Need for the project Morcom Trading is one of the critical applications offered via the BTS Portal. Trading application provides JPMC’s Financial Advisors to place Equity, Mutual Fund and Options trading within the portal. This application is used by many firms/ businesses. To reduce the operational cost and effective client management, JPMC has to enhance their applications to bring all the users into one portal application and configure to each business according to their needs. To implement this without affecting the user experience PCWS performance team is executing various performance tests to assist the developers to achieve the desired performance. To meet the stringent business requirement s and performance requirements , one of the BTS Performance team’s critical projects is Morcom Trading which is tested every time a release is made. Due to the nature of the application Load ,Stress and performance tests are conducted with monitoring with multiple tools. Business Solution Technical Solution Vugen scripts are created for the business flows identified. Scenarios are designed based on the real time user actions. Application will be tested with the well defied user load collected from the historical usage pattern and future user expectations.CA Wily and EG tools are used for monitoring. Common login which can be used across the applications. Same correlation parameters make this easy to plug in any script. multiple Accounts and multiple Symbols are used to place the orders to simulate real time trading. Reusable components

We have one onsite resource from Polaris acting as Performance Analyst on the project interacting with all the required stake holders There are two offshore resources closely working with onsite to for creating scripts and executing the tests. Identify the issues before the code moved to production. Confidence to AD/QA teams to move the code to production without hesitation. Ability to make the production changes with limited risk. How overcome • Keeping track of the QA dashboard, which is dynamic • Tight performance test schedule as many applications would have same release dates. • Unplanned performance test requirements due to prod issue Fixes. • Difficulties in getting the jar files required for Flex scripts • Different OS installed in the Load generator systems. • Non availability of the portal due to scheduled Batch Runs. During offshore hours. • Close monitoring of QA Dashboard and Plans to create dashboard alerts for the QA changes • Well planned performance test schedules and readiness to run more tests within short period. • Record the scripts during onsite hours and enhance during offshore hours
