Col. 3:9 "deeds" is praxis (G4234) - a mode of acting - not so much the deeds as the inner nature is the point. Eph. 4:25 - "putting away" aor. mid. part. of apotithēmi (G659) - to put off from oneself. "lying" pseudos (G5579) (Col. 3:9 is pseudomai (G5574) - to deceive by lies) - what is untrue; deceit; falsehood (cf. Rom. 1:25). Eph. 4:26, 31 - "angry; anger" - orgizō; orgē (G3710; G3709) is the strongest of all passions. It suggests a more settled or abiding condition of mind, frequently with a view to taking revenge. Col. 3:8 is orgē. “wrath” parorgismos (G3950) – indignation; wrath; exasperation; rage. A strengthened form of orgē.

"longsuffering" makrothumia (G3115) - that quality of self-restraint in the face of provocation which does not hastily retaliate or promptly punish; it is the opposite of anger & is associated with mercy.
