Next: Bell Work Week 32 • Find a sheet of paper in your Bell Work notebook. • Find your copy of “The Highwayman” poem that I gave you yesterday. • Respond individually to the following: • What is the theme in the poem “The Highwayman”? • Use complete sentences and provide textual evidence from the poem. • You’ll have 7 minutes to write your response.
Next: Per. 2/4 • Find your Plot/rhyme scheme/ theme/ tone handout from yesterday. • Find a red pen (if you don’t have one, come get one from my desk).
Next: Per. 2/4 • Corrections: let’s check your answers on the plot chart
Next: Per. 2/4 • Keep your handout on your desk and turn it to the back side. • Look @ questions 7 & 8. Per. 2: review your answers. • We’re going to watch a couple of short videos that may help us to identify the theme and tone of the poem. • You may write notes onto your handout from yesterday. You’ll use this handout and notes for a group activity later.

Exit procedures: • Pick up any pieces of paper left on the floor (even if you didn’t create the mess) • Stack the Academic Language Scripts in the center of your table • Ensure that textbooks are secured underneath desks with wire racks or on top of desks without racks • Ensure that you’ve retrieved all of your belongings
