  7. Senior and Honors English • SMC college credit • 100 level composition credit • 100 level literature credit • Student choice • Decision deadline will be posted

  9. How to access teacher websites

  10. Teacher Website and power school- All instructors have website links easily found at Buchanan high school website.

  11. FYI All students have school email and should check it at least three times per week.

  12. FYI All students and parents have access to POWER SCHOOL and can monitor grades daily-if necessary.

  13. Recommendation Parents and students – make use of the available information!

  14. Beyond high school You will not have access to your child’s grades in college unless (s)he chooses to give you that.

  17. Senior Pictures Due 11-16 • SENIOR PICTURES: Senior Pictures are due by Friday, November 16th, 2011.  • Please have your photographer send a digital file of your photo to Ms. Cornelius at jcornelius@buchananschools.com

  18. Yearbook information SENIOR ADS:  Senior Ads can now be purchased. If you would like to purchase an ad for a 2013 BHS Senior, please fill out the appropriate form. Prices range according to ad size. Deadline to purchase a Senior Ad is Friday, December 21st, 2012. See website for order forms and ideas.

  21. Many items are optional • Senior Pictures ($200) • Yearbook - $45 • (given out at graduation practice) • Watch for Graduation announcements and other supplies - $30- $$$$$ • Senior Class trip non-refundable deposit $20 due October 31 • Attend a college fair or visitation September - October

Watch for these! • Graduation announcement orders due. • College application fees $25 or more per application - some are free. • Scholarship workshop from parent who did it! • Attend a college admission visit or two – check guidance. • Senior Class Day Trip – $80 due (may make payments through December 21). November - December

  24. Cost of Senior Year • Senior Class signature t-shirt - $15 • Some colleges may request deposits in February. • Winterfest Semi-formal January - February

  25. More to do • Cap and gown measure and orders due $30. • Senior Class Day Trip – may need extra money for food or snacks (March 5). • Prom • Cap and gowns and extras purchased. • Senior Banquet reservations due in April. • $20 March and April

  26. Letter to parents Watch for letter to be sent home with all important dates, times and places-end of APRIL.
