  1. Growing talent – 100% of those who complete go into work! Devised by PwC in January 2014, Employers can see their future talent grow in situ prior to hiring. Unemployed young people get the support and nurturing to grow into long term employees. The partnership with JobCentre Plus ensures no financial hardship. Next programme starts September 2014 (Summer intake of Growing Talent) Background PwC recognised the success employer-led work experience programmes deliver. However, not all completing participants go into work. Why not have a programme where employers can literally ‘grow their own talent’ in situ with 100% of those who complete going into work - enter Growing Talent! JobCentre Plus lifts the obligation to ‘sign-on’ and ‘job search’. Benefits and travel are paid for the 12 week programme. Format The screening process includes an Assessment Day with PwC and the participating employers, panel selection interviews and vetting. Selected participants then attend an Orientation Week. During this workshops, seminars, role play, team challenges, public speaking tasks to build confidence, self-esteem and team player attributes . An 11 week, full-time placement for eleven weeks then follows with their matched employer learning ‘on the job’. Halfway through participants attend the holistic part of the programme at Latimer House. Set in 30 acres in the Chiltern Valley, work on fitness, nutrition, budget planning and stress management is undertaken – with a large amount of freetime to enjoy the facilities!
