  6. Story behind the Party’s Logo The Supreme Electoral Committee, announced a statistic implying that the number of voters who cast their votes in the People's Assembly elections in 2005 did not exceed 23% of the total number of voters listed. This is a very small percentage "when compared to other countries, as they hit 60% and 70% in Palestine and Iraq despite occupation. This means that the number of Egyptians who did not vote are about 77% of the total number of registered voters. The party symbol was designed to reflect the present figure of 77 representing the "silent majority" who have declined from expressing themselves due to the lack of satisfaction with any of the current political alternatives and also because of their doubts about the fairness of the elections. The 77% silent majority have finally decided to take things in hand and hence formed the "Party of the Democratic Front" which its name is encompassed in the logo design indicating the legitimacy, credibility, and protection offered by the 77% for the “Democratic Front”
