Do- (1) Watching the cricket race (2) Visiting tea plantations (3) Going on a jungle safari 3. Eat- Curry & rice, Ceylon tea. 4. Buy- The Pettah Bazaar in Colombo 5. Relax- Unawatuna Beach and Mirissa Beach

  3. Spring is in the air 3/5/103 1. Spring is the season for planting. 2. Western festivals in spring: (1) Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17. (2) Easter,April 18- April 21, 2014. 3. Spring reminds us to never give up hope.

  4. Food Remedies 3/28/103 1. When you can’t sleep, try a few almonds for a later-night snack. 2. When you have bad breath, drink a cup of black, green or oolong tea. 3. When you feel irritable, reach for a chocolate bar. 4. When you have joint pain, eat the fruits loaded with Vitamin C. 5. When you don’t have much energy, drink ample amounts of water.

  6. Walking out of Darkness 4/18/103 Managing depression: 1. Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. 2. Get enough sleep 3. Participate in activities 4. Share your feelings with someone you trust. 5. Focus on your successes, not on mistakes or problems.

  7. A new view of leaders 4/25/103 1. Good leaders always listen to the teammates’ opinions. 2. Leaders should support teammates to pursue their own personal goals. 3. The best leaders recognize the teammates that deserve praise and share the credit for team’s success. 4. Sometimes leaders need to be genuine and admit their mistakes. 5. Leaders raise questions may be more helpful.

  9. Ariana Grande 5/16/103 * This sweet young star greets challenges with a smile on her face. 1. Music plays a major role- Ariana started her show business at age 8. At age 14, she won a role in the Broadway musical 13. 2. Making times for others- When she was 10, she helped start a youth singing group called Kids Who Care. 3. Staying sweet- Ariana has good friends and good family supporting her. She doesn’t allow fame go to her head.

  10. Gene Therapy 5/30/103 1. Our fate is in our genes. 2. In gene therapy, healthy genes are introduced into defective cells to prevent or cure disease. 3. Gene therapy has also been used on older patients who suffered from a disease that causes slow movement and uncontrollable shaking.
