  • Desire to gain relevant experience

  • Demonstrate professional achievement

Revisiting NCLAs purpose

To promote libraries

To promote library and information services

To support intellectual freedom and literacy

To provide a forum for networking, continuing education & training

Where do I go from here?

Plan of action!

  • Strategic planning retreat

  • Collectively revisit NCLAs purpose

  • Determine relevancy

As an Association where are we?Where do we want to go?How will we get there? How will we know when we get there?

Investing in the membership

The more the member knows about the

workings of the association,

the more connection the member feels.

Make meetings productive, informative and engaging!
