  1. Research Paper Outline Step by Step Process

Step 1 • Before you begin your paper you have to make sure you have a safe accessible place to save your paper. • Set up your account: https://accounts.google.com/SignUp?service=mail&hl=en_us&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F%3Fpc%3Den-ha-na-us-bk&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-bk&utm_medium=ha • If it’s not required information, leave it blank. Never give out information you don’t feel comfortable giving out.

  3. Step 2 • Open your new google drive account by clicking on the tiles in the top right hand corner of Google’s home page. • Click on the Google Drive icon. • Put in your password if prompted and create a document. • Note: Type your papers in Microsoft Word, save to a flash drive, then copy and paste your document into Google Drive where it automatically saves. Now you have two secure copies of your work.

  6. Step 5 • Your thesis statement is the last sentence in your first paragraph. The thesis statement is the most important sentence in your paper. Everything else in your paper will work to prove your thesis. • The thesis statement must be in your outline. • You won’t receive credit for your outline if no thesis is present. • The following link is an excellent source for creating a strong thesis statement.
